The City of Lake Mills is a city of approximately 6,600 people. It is located along Interstate 94 between Madison and Milwaukee. The Lake Mills Police Department is made up of 12 full-time officers, two civilian clerks and up to five part-time community service officers (non-sworn). The department handles approximately 7,500 calls a year. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department provides dispatching services for the department.

The Lake Mills Police Department is staffed by dedicated professionals who strive to provide excellent service to our community. Our focus is on deterring, detecting, and addressing criminal activity, in order to provide a safe environment in which our residents and businesses can thrive. We strive to engage members of our community, and we build partnerships to help us accomplish this goal.
